(0:27) Shiseido’s name comes from a passage of ancient text that reads Praise the virtues of the earth, which nurtures new life and brings forth significant value.    Their belief as a company is that a sustainable society is a prerequisite for sustainable business. Shiseido aims to reduce its environmental footprint by promoting both sustainable resource use and minimal material procurement. Shiseido has been known for making the world a more beautiful place through personal care. Now Shiseido will continue that legacy through its achievements in sustainability. Ladio Hansez, Executive Director of Manufacturing & Facilities: Shiseido is a company that originates from Japan. We are in our 149th year, very unique. We’re almost 150 years old. We have many brands. Nars, Laura Mercier, Bare Minerals, and most recently we partnered with Drunk Elephant. Richard Brennan, Executive Director of Facilities & Engineering: We had been looking to partner with a company coming into 2020 so we reached out to Big Shine who we had been evaluating. The big key for us was a manufacturer and a turnkey solution as our two primary objectives. I have to say the proposal that was submitted was, hands down, the best one that we received and that’s why ultimately, we decided to move forward.
