President Donald Trump has reportedly set a two-month deadline for Iran to sign a new nuclear accord with the United States. This was communicated to Tehran in the letter that Trump recently wrote to Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei, Axios reported. It isn't clear whether the two-month clock begins from the time the letter was delivered or from when negotiations start. In a recent interview with Fox News, Trump revealed that he sent a letter to the Iranian leader proposing direct negotiations on a new nuclear deal. However, he said the letter also warned Iran that it could face potential military action if it rejects the offer.
