Adam Zinatelli, flugelhorn Akiko Tominaga, piano Here’s something special. At the end of the last day of recording for ‘Fifteen Feet Closer to the Sky’, we found ourselves with a little extra time. Akiko Tominaga and I had been playing a series of recitals leading up to recording day, so we used that time to record a couple of beautiful songs by Samuel Barber that we had been performing. With time for just one run-through and a couple of pickups, we recorded this and one other that you’ll see soon. Here is ‘Sure on this Shining Night’ from Barber’s Four Songs, op. 13.
