This week on CCLemon99.com I finally get around to listing my Top 7 favorite Kamen Rider Henshin Belts! It's a list that may surprise you...so check it out and be sure to add your own! http://www.cclemon99.com/2016/04/the-... The Top 7 Worst will be coming up in May...! -------------------- Welcome to my review of S.H. Figuarts Boukenred [ボウケンレッド] from GoGo Sentai Boukenger [轟轟戦隊ボウケンジャー]! I hate this series... This really isn't anything new to anyone who has been following my channel for some time, but I feel it is worth putting out there before I get into my review of this Figuart. I'm not entirely sure what compelled me to spend my own money on this guy, but I did...and I suppose I should finally get around to reviewing him. obnoxious finger snap SHFiguarts Boukenred comes with two Accellulars, Survibuster, Surviblade, Bouken Bo, Bouken Javelin, and several extra hands for Boukenred. Also included are Akibaranger Bonus Parts--Bouken Scooper and extra hands for Akibablue. Maybe I'm feeling a little bit nostalgic for the way Figuarts used to be. This is a pretty solid figure. Looking past the stinky Boukenger suit design, this Figuart is everything Figuarts should be--an accurate design with lots of accessories. It isn't really much of a surprise that this Figuart would be good seeing as it came out in 2012--the year they got their act together. The suit looks as miserable as it does on screen...which is a compliment in this case. There are also tons of accessories that all look very well detailed. Solid figure across the board. The only complaint I have with this figure is a big one. If you spotted it already, you'll know what I'm talking about. If you didn't notice it now...you won't be able to unsee it. The solid-colored knees (and elbows to a lesser extent) are terrible and wildly distracting. They were present on the prototypes and we were all sure that they would be corrected for production. They weren't. Bandai is usually good at weeding out the bugs of Figuart prototypes, but this one was beyond them I suppose. Oh well. It's a little problem that dragged down an otherwise perfect-figure. Should you get it? Sure. I'm pretty sure the reason I got it some time ago is because it was dirt cheap. It is what all Figuarts should be--detailed and parts-a-plenty. If they carried on like this we might still have Sentai Figuarts today. Well...that and if they skipped the Sunvulcan Figuarts...what were they thinking?? Be sure to check out my blog. Twice monthly I review shows, movies, Tokusatsu CDs, and occasionally make Top 7 lists of the best and worst of Tokusatsu.
