Ramblings/Review of a PreSonus StudioLive Series III 24 Digital Mixer I got for FREE!

Stuff I like: Top part of the FAT channel controls Free EQ, compressor and FX models that were previously paid FlexMix flexibility (I know I said flex groups lol) Discrete level meterings in FAT channel Built in Bluetooth audio streaming Stuff I don't like: Resistive & dim Touchscreen Dim buttons Slow faders Bottom part of the FAT channel controls Fader area navigation Fader area layout SD card file transfer / No use of USB thumb drive Not labeling all numbers of the level meterings TL;DR: Overall it's a meh console, PreSonus is basically playing catch-up with the rest of the world but they aren't offering anything compelling over the other brands for the price point other than tight integration with their Studio One DAW. Note: I am primarily a Yamaha and Allen & Heath user. PreSonus did not give me a free mixer, I got this from someone that didn't want it anymore, true story. This is a pre-COVID model so this could be just the one I got that I am experiencing. This is as of firmware v3.2 released in October 2025.
