Darktable Ultimate Guide to Masking: Ep 4 - Parametric Masking Basics In episode 4 of this series on masking in Darktable, we look at simple, easy to understand, parametric masking. We recap the meaning of all the scene referred parametric channels, how we can use a mix of these channels, and even how to mix channel polarities. Then using various derivatives of the same mask, and alternate polarities, we will: Use differing adjustments of the colour balance RGB module to bring the image to life. We will add local contrast, and sharpening, guided by parametric masks. We will also create a 2 stage denoising of the image, again using a parametric mask. ============================================================================== PLEASE help support this channel by liking, subscribing and commenting - it really does help!
