SPOILER WARNING just to be on the safe side because this focuses a lot on the final arc, and some crazy stuff goes down that you're probably gonna wanna see for yourself. Unless you don't care about spoilers so much. It was originally JUST going to be the last six or so eps, but some of the lyrics and pacing inspired me to pull from some of the other eps I had on file. I promised you the return of the "action" AMV, and this has been one I've been REALLY excited to do. You've probably figured out by now that I'm a major Storm Hawks addict. I wanted to give it a tribute in all its epic glory. And one that didn't just focus on Stork all the time. (I'm actually a little surprised that the way the lyrics worked out, I ended up NOT just spamming his footage...and gave JUNKO more screentime than I thought I would...) Rewatching the finale is just an epic superfeels trip for me. So there's that. And despite being so silly and lighthearted (most of the time), I feel like there's actually a very dark component to SH in general...half the world is being invaded by a tyrranical empire, and even in the early eps, you see the effect this has on the Blizzarans having to migrate. Then came the final arc, when Cyclonia actually TOOK OVER THE WORLD, and the moment that actually got to me was when they destroyed TERRA NEON of all places, since that was not only a major Terra for so many eps but also just a representation of fun and innocence. (I would have used that footage were it not overlaid with so many opening credits. Dang.) The side of Atmos we know of has some MAJOR cleanup to do, and given how easily Cyclonis was able to pick up new tech on the Far Side, I'm willing to bet she's already done a fair amount of damage there too. Hence my choice of song. SH pretty much ended with a near apocalypse.
