Ice Belt, Sol Valley, Base Camp, and Flare Pool Samus heads out of the Ice Belt and back into Sol Valley. Mackenzie radios in and asks to head back with that chip she found. After exploring the valley and picking up Green Crystals along the way, she shows him the chip at Base Camp. After some analysis and recalibrating, it was converted into the Ice Shot; perfect for freezing enemies and anything it touches for a few seconds. After heading back out to the valley, she heads for Flare Pool and the new shot worked wonders on the lava there...allowing her to create a path back to the entrance. However, even Vi-O-La's tires can't take the extreme heat. Perhaps an upgrade is needed...
