The Type 565 wafer and Type 565 lug style butterfly valves are compatible with both ANSI 16.5 Class 150 and DIN 2501 flange patterns. The disc operation utilizes centric, resilient seated design principles. The valve is rated for both bi-directional use. The stem is non-wetted utilizing an interference fit of a molded seat and a disc hub. The seal liner fully isolates the valve body from process fluid. The handle is lockable with standard adjustment increments of five degrees. All valves are tested in accordance with ISO 9393 and designed to ISO 9001 for quality and ISO 14001 for environmental management. Following assembly, every valve is tested and certified bubble-tight, exceeding Class 6 standards. The Type 565 is offered in addition to the high-performance double eccentric thermoplastic butterfly valves from GF, the Type 567 wafer, and the Type 578 lug style. Compared to metal butterfly valves, the Type 565 valve has superior longevity. Thermoplastic valves are highly durable and can last for many years without requiring replacement.
