This movement is Lemania-based and represents a modification of the Lemania 1873 ebauche. Patek Philippe collectors will thrill to the inclusion of a rare 5078P-001 minute repeater. This 38mm platinum repetition minutes contains a finely tuned set of strikers and gongs that chime the current hour, quarters, and minutes on demand. An automatic Patek Philippe caliber R 27 PS provides motive force and a 43 to 48 hour power reserve. All components of the hand-finished caliber are detailed exhaustively. The platinum case features a diamond between the lugs at six o’clock that attests to its use of the noblest of metals, and the lugs are of the hand-welded variety. Patek Philippe equips this 5078P with a grand feu enamel dial built on a solid gold dial base.
