Join me on my unforgettable 100-mile solo journey through the majestic High Sierra on the John Muir Trail from July 2-6, 2024! This adventure pushed me to my limits, with each day bringing new challenges, breathtaking views, and unforgettable moments. Here's a breakdown of the journey: Day 1: I began my trek at Cottonwood Pass, taking in the rugged beauty of the High Sierra as I ventured into the wild. Day 2: A major highlight of the trip – I summited Mount Whitney, the tallest peak in the contiguous United States, pushing myself physically and mentally to reach the summit. The views were absolutely worth it! Day 3: Unfortunately, things took a turn when I broke my finger while crossing a snowfield on Forester Pass along the Pacific Crest Trail. Despite the injury, I kept moving forward, determined to finish the journey. Day 4: I explored the stunning Rae Lakes area, home to some of the most pristine and beautiful lakes I’ve ever seen. The serenity and beauty of this place was beyond words. Day 5: In the final stretch, I pushed myself to the limit, covering 32 miles to reach South Bishop Pass, completing the 100-mile adventure with a sense of accomplishment and awe. This solo hike tested my resilience, strength, and determination. It was an adventure I’ll never forget.
