Our 2nd Annual River SUP trip brought us near the headwaters of the Columbia River, snaking through one of the largest intact wetlands in North America. 2.5 days, 6 men, 96kms of river, 9lbs of brisket, 3 pork tenderloins, 24 sausages, 2 lbs of coffee, 52 beer, one moose, about 21 beavers and countess eagles. The Columbia River is a special and vital waterway steeped in explorer history. Although we were by no means finding new territory, we definitely discovered a special part of this Province we call home, deepened our bonds and had one heck of a good time.
