2025 Road Trip 19 - Lancaster, PA | Lancaster/New Holland KOA | Hershey's Chocolate World | Chocolate Lab | Amish Homestead Lunch | Philadelphia Highlights Tour | Independence Hall Tour | Liberty Bell | 40 Day Grand East Coast | Fantasy RV Tours Our time in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, during the 40-Day Grand East Coast Tour with Fantasy RV Tours, was a wonderful blend of rural beauty, hands-on fun, and deep American history. It was a stretch of the trip that offered something for everyone — from chocolate lovers to history buffs. We stayed at the Lancaster/New Holland KOA, a peaceful and immaculately maintained campground tucked into the rolling farmlands of Amish Country. The campground offered gorgeous views, quiet evenings, and friendly staff who made us feel right at home. It was a perfect base for exploring the area. A highlight of this stop was our visit to Hershey’s Chocolate World, where the entire group enjoyed the playful, chocolate-themed attractions. The Chocolate Lab experience was especially fun — a hands-on workshop where we created our own chocolate treats while learning how Hershey’s confections are made. Delicious and educational! We also enjoyed a heartwarming Amish homestead lunch, where the simplicity and hospitality of Amish culture took center stage. The food was homemade, hearty, and absolutely fantastic. Sharing a meal in such a peaceful setting made for one of the most memorable moments of the tour. Next, we traveled to Philadelphia for a day filled with iconic American history. Our Philadelphia Highlights Tour took us through some of the nation’s most important sites, including a guided visit to Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were debated and adopted. It was powerful to stand in the very room where the country was born. We also stopped at the Liberty Bell, an unmistakable symbol of American freedom. Seeing it up close — and learning about its history — added even more meaning to the day. Throughout this entire stretch, Fantasy RV Tours continued to impress with their flawless organization, knowledgeable guides, and friendly support.
