Living: 1st IVF Cycle; DuoStim Protocol

Hi guys! I did it! I completed my first IVF cycle. In doing some research I noted that a "cycle" can include embryo implantation but we're not there quite yet. I took medication for about 10 days and went in to my fertility clinic regularly for morning monitoring. Once my follicles were ready, mature eggs were collected during retrieval and fertilized in a lab. Due to relatively low egg count (watch the video for exact number!), we'll be undergoing a second cycle before sharing samples of our embryos with the preimplantation genetic testing lab. Hoping to make a follow-up update with the outcomes of the new cycle (: 5/4: I want to make a clarification around minute 18. This whole process is rather confusing but what I should’ve said is that the reason why I’m jumping into a second cycle is because my doctor recommended a DuoStim protocol which consists of stimulating the ovaries twice in a single menstrual cycle. I'm hoping to write accompanying blog posts to follow my IVF progress. I'll update the description with a link once it's ready. . .
