Bangladesh Election | হাতেগোনা আর ২দিন। ১২ ফেব্রুয়ারি বাংলাদেশের জাতীয় সংসদ নির্বাচন। একই দিনে গণভোট। সেদেশের প্রাক্তন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা ক্ষমতাচ্যুত হওয়ার দেড় বছর অবশেষে হতে চলেছে প্রতিক্ষিত সেই ভোট। সে নিয়ে যথেষ্ট উত্তাপ বাংলাদেশে। এরই মধ্যে এবার বাংলাদেশের ভোটকেন্দ্রে মোবাইল নিয়ে যাওয়া নিয়ে বিতর্ক। রবিবার সে দেশের নির্বাচন কমিশন বিজ্ঞপ্তি দিয়ে জানিয়ে দেয়, ভোটকেন্দ্রের ভিতরে মোবাইল নিয়ে যেতে পারবেন না ভোটারেরা। এমনকি, ভোটকেন্দ্রের ৪০০ গজের মধ্যে মোবাইল নিয়ে যাওয়া যাবে না। এই নির্দেশিকা জারি হওয়ার পরেই বিতর্ক শুরু হয়। বিভিন্ন রাজনৈতিক দল ওই নির্দেশিকা ঘিরে প্রশ্ন তুলতে শুরু করে। বিতর্কের মাঝে পড়েই এবার সিদ্ধান্ত বদল করল সেদেশের জাতীয় নির্বাচন কমিশন। মোবাইল নিয়ে যাওয়ার নিষেধাজ্ঞা প্রত্যাহার করে নিল তারা। জানিয়ে দেওয়া হল, ভোটারেরা মোবাইল নিয়েই ভোটকেন্দ্রে যেতে পারবেন। প্রার্থী এবং তাঁর এজেন্টরাও মোবাইল রাখতে পারবেন সঙ্গে। তবে ভোটকেন্দ্রের গোপন কক্ষে ছবি তোলা যাবে না। রবিবার বাংলাদেশের নির্বাচন কমিশনের ওই ঘোষণার পরই কমিশনকে রীতিমতো হুঁশিয়ারি দেন এনসিপির আহ্বায়ক নাহিদ ইসলাম। নির্দেশ প্রত্যাহার করা না হলে কমিশনের দফতর ঘেরাও করার ডাক দেন তিনি। গোটা বাংলাদেশের রাজনৈতিক নেতাকর্মীদের পাশাপাশি সাধারণ মানুষদের মধ্যেও অসন্তোষ তৈরি হয়। এরকম হলে অনেক ভোটার ভোট দিতে যাবেনা বলেও অভিযোগ আসে। রাজনৈতিক দলের এজেন্টরা বিপাকে পড়বেন বলে অভিযোগ করেন। Only two days remain. However, taking photographs inside the secret voting booth will not be allowed. Following the Election Commission’s announcement on Sunday, NCP convener Nahid Islam strongly warned the Commission. He threatened to surround the Election Commission office if the directive was not withdrawn. This created widespread dissatisfaction among political leaders, workers, and the general public across Bangladesh. There were also complaints that many voters might avoid voting if such restrictions remained in place.
