I begin the Península Belgrano Circuito Largo loop in Perito Moreno National Park. This loop, the larger of the two loops, is absolutely gorgeous with the vibrant blue lakes and diverse flora. With it being the weekend and the weather being as spectacular as it was I am only able to get a cabin for one of the nights, but that's okay! I am still able to camp near the brilliant blue waters and take in the sunrises and sunsets along the way. My second day on trail I start with a colorful sunrise and some coffee then pack up and hike only a few short miles to my secluded little cabin. I am finally able to enjoy some alone time in a space where I can actually stand up and move around. I take a short swim in the freezing cold water (cause why not?) and enjoy a warm cabin for the evening. The next morning the rain is pretty heavy but I need to hike out because I have a long journey ahead. The snow picks up for a while but as cold and wet as that made the trail, it also made the bright reds and oranges pop. When I finally arrive at the NP center I learn that there are no more cars leaving for the day, but they allow me to stay in the back building and I am extremely grateful. I make my first ever fire in an oil drum and wait in a dry warm area until a ride finally arrives the next day. Now I'm off to Perito Moreno (the town) so if you're not already subscribed be sure to subscribe and turn on notifications so you don't miss a single step of my journey through Argentina.
