I decided to replace my 12 volt battery myself. I've had to jump the car 4 to 5 times in the last week, and I don't want to be stranded somewhere. The jump box from Amazon has come in handy (link above). Also linked is a battery I bought from Walmart. Some of you may ask why I didn't just go to the dealership and get a warranty replacement. They will end up just replacing it with the same battery and likely keeping my car for a few days. They're either just going to come back and say that the battery is fine and there's nothing they can do about it, or the battery is bad and give me another same battery. Kia/Hyundai have not acknowledged this problem yet officially. People who have replaced it with lithium or AGM batteries have had really good luck so I'm hoping that this at least lasts me a couple years more, or at least until I keep this car. Maybe the upcoming ICCU recall will help with this issue, but for now I feel better knowing that my battery is more powerful.
