📖 Scripture Focus: Judges 6:25–27 * In our Morning Bible Study, God gives Gideon his first assignment — and it’s not against the Midianites. It’s against the altar in his own father’s house. Before Gideon can deliver a nation, he must remove the idol from his heritage. This passage reveals a powerful principle of spiritual maturity: We must lovingly evaluate what has been passed down to us — keeping what honors God, and removing what does not. God instructs Gideon to tear down the altar of Baal and cut down the wooden image beside it. Gideon obeys — even if he does it at night. This is not condemnation of family. It is deliverance from destructive patterns.
