Career Exploration Workshop: Law Enforcement with Marica Kelley

For this workshop, we spoke with Marica Kelly, LMSW, Program Coordinator for the Victims Advocate Network (VAN) at the University of Texas Police Department. Marica recruits and supervises UT employee volunteer advocates and social work staff to support those in need of police response following a crime or distressing incident. She works to advocate for the victims of violent crime and protect them through the legal process, and has advocated consistently for the involvement of social workers and mental health professionals in first response.
