Mullet bikes are catching ground in the MTB world so I thought I'd see if there's any advantages doing it with a trials bike too. I was actually pretty surprised with the results! One of my Patreon viewers asked why even stick with a 26" front, what are the advantages? I guess you still get a bit of help with kickers but I think one of the main advantages of keeping a bigger wheel is having a bit more leeway in gaps to front. You have a larger area to aim for so you can be slightly less accurate than with smaller wheels. You also get the bonus of a larger tyre contact patch more more grip and ability to roll faster over rough ground. I think I'd like to try a 24" on the front to see if it will act like a slightly larger Fourplay but like I say in the video I'm open to your suggestions too.
