If I'm being honest, Ian Metzger of Dear and the Headlights (and now The Gentle Hits) writes the most topically meaningful lyrics of any musician I know AND on top of that DATH as a band comes up with some of the most catchy yet honest songs to go along with them. To say that this band has changed my life is a great understatement. Every song strikes a very personal chord in me. I've listened, sang, screamed, and cried to their songs on many drives in my recent years. I've busked playing a lot of these songs and people always respond to them with awe which leads to full conversations with strangers about the band.
