new hardest platformer after a year :))))))))))))))))) Positive things first, I think galvatron really nailed the atmosphere for this level. It's really eerie, the music being as sharp as it is encapsulate the glitch effects and the staleness of the decoration. I mostly turned it all off at the beginning (doesn't really matter though cause when you hit the 4th checkpoint it just Turns Back On ???? Nice one galvatron) but I do think the decoration and overall feel of the level is pretty damn cool. The eeriness of the level and sharpness of the song ALSO helps you get into a satanic mindset, because the vibe fits with how SHIT IT IS so well!!!! Really encapsulates the DOGSHIT!! I HATE THIS LEVEL!!! I've dropped this and picked it back up on numerous occasions because I physically could not process how to slope boost consistently enough to play this level, let alone do gameplay this hard with it. Almost every single jump in this level is bullshit, inconsistent garbage solely because galvatron decided we NEEDED more slope gameplay and it NEEDED to be this hard for some reason. It could've been fine if there weren't spikes on the slopes or random fucking orbs that change your controls but nope. The worst part about this level though, has to be the inverted controls. I HATE INVERTED CONTROLS. Moving on the side does not compute in my brain, its so easy for me to mess up my rhythm cause randomly swapping from processing left as left to left as Down is so insanely hard for me to get down, and by the time I went from the beginning for the first time I just accepted I was gambling. I'd say half of the checkpoints in this level are fine, mostly because they are easy, but even still most of it is just stupid inconsistent slope gameplay. Checkpoint 3 is the main offender to me, no checkpoint even comes close to how bad it is. The drastic change in the beginning from sideways gameplay immediately to precision slope gameplay is just...horrible. ESPECIALLY THE ORB. The orb is so bad, I can't even begin to describe how much of a lottery this orb was. Its so inconsistent because its so hyper specific and you have to be holding the buttons while microclicking in such a perfect way to where you DON'T immediately lose traction and fall into the pit. It was so horrible. I don't know why I beat this. I know I hate slope gameplay. But I wanted to prove to myself I could do something like this, as well as me needing a new hardest platformer since It had been The Abyss since January. When I originally beat this level, I gave it a 5/10. I didn't even think it was that bad when I beat it. Unfortunately, sometimes I get my judgement clouded because I had a good from 0 experience. Playing from the beginning I only beat it in a little under an hour and 15 minutes, so it really wasn't that bad, but the MONTHS of learning and genuinely just learning a new skill ONLY on this level considering there are maybe 5 other levels max that have this gameplay (I'm being generous I could genuinely only find 4 rated ones and 2 of them aren't even this style of slope gameplay) so you just have to bash your head into a wall for days and for me, months with the hardest slope gameplay ever made until you finally get it to click. Its like booting up Shardscapes or Nullscapes to learn how to play the robot gamemode. I hate this level. So Much. I REALLY REALLY REALLY would not recommend this in the slightest unless you have genuine interest, and if you do, I wish you good fucking luck.
