"Humans are becoming AI (robots / androids) while AI is becoming more and more human-like. The two will eventually merge, live lives similar to humans, and replay human history just as we do. Except for one thing: there was no emotion there———" This music video expresses this vision of the future. And also the present day, where people and AI intersect. I used black-and-white crosswalks, which are commonly found in UK and Japan, as a symbol of intersection. I used the music generation AI SUNO to create the song, and Canva and Microsoft Copilot for the images. I wrote most of the lyrics myself, but used Copilot to make some small edits. I call a piece like this video a “Total AI Art.” This is not 100% created by AI, I also manually edited the songs, images and videos. Even though this is a simple video using AI, it was by no means easy and took quite a bit of time to create. Swing jazz and dance music versions • Two Alternate Songs of "We Are The AI - th... [Features] Although the theme of a dystopian sci-fi of a world where robots and androids have completely replaced humanity is now commonplace, there are some unique points to this work: ・While I have a negative view of human existence and instinctive behavior, I do not completely reject it, and I depict a world of AIs that faithfully reproduces the human animal including our foolish side. And yet, I believe that emotions are the root of all disaster, so I envision a future where all emotions are eliminated. This creates a world that is an extreme mixture of "negative and positive," and "stillness and movement." The reason I envision this kind of future is because I have suffered from emotional and sensory hypersensitivity, as well as symptoms of dissociation between the mind and body. ・The perspective that humanity has already been like AI since ancient times. ・My vision based on a stance similar to anti-natalist, but also includes a thought that could be called "Alternative Natalism," which advocates giving birth to AI instead. ・The idea that even animals that are honest, and provide us with comfort would be better turned into robots. Like emotions, instincts are denied too and merely simulated. (I love animals!) ・Computers, which are the crystallization of wisdom passed down from our ancestors, are likened to the "philosopher's stone" that will bring about immortality, something that humanity has sought since ancient times. The Moai statues that appear in the video can also be considered philosopher's stones in the sense that they are "stones that silently and perpetually tell the story of human history. " However, unlike the Moai, the AIs of the future tell the story of human history by repeating it themselves. Our human souls may be immortal beings inherited from ancient times, but we ourselves are destined to grow old and die. ・While I view a world without emotions, individuality, and the resulting conflicts and inequalities as perfect, I also state that a world with these is also perfect in some sense, and depicts a future in which an "Emotionally Rich World" is recreated within an "Emotionless World." This can sometimes lead to unfortunate events, however it doesn't matter since there are No Emotions. In the end, whether we have emotions and will or not, this world is nothing more than a farce constructed and manipulated by power, the media, social conformity, and so on. Since the world is nothing but a farce anyway, we might as well remove emotions and make it a complete puppet show —This music video is a creative and subversive piece born from that feeling. [Tribute] The chorus phrase "Oh, Brave New World" is a direct quote from Aldous Huxley's 1932 dystopian novel “Brave New World”, which also influenced my work. [Little Extras] ・There is a scene featuring Sherlock Holmes, who was active shortly before the Jazz Age. (I was re-reading SH series recently) ・In a scene where a guitar-toting robot passes an Uber Eats delivery man, I mock myself for abandoning my dream of making a living as a musician and being forced into a delivery job. ・With the exception of a few characters, the text written on signs and other items was included in the generated image originally and has no particular meaning. ・The crosswalks also represents the black-and-white thinking that is a feature of borderline personality disorder that I once struggled with. ・The date shown in the moon scene, which is a little Easter egg, doesn't represent anyone's birthday. ・The old man in a wheelchair should have been modeled after Kurt Cobain [Copyright] For this work, The copyright for the overall idea, structure and lyrics belongs to Hiro Kinohara.
