The Bass Liner's Level Control offers up to +10 dB of signal boost while the Input Gain Control allows optimization for use with any instrument or electronics. Add girth to a thin-sounding instrument or boost your volume to cut through the band during that all-too infrequent Bass solo section! The audio quality of the Bass Liner's tone-shaping circuit is typically reserved for high-end rack gear that is prohibitive in both price and portability. Each voice of the 5-band EQ offers hi-fidelity and wide dynamic range with 18 dB of cut/boost at 50 Hz, 160 Hz, 630 Hz, 2.5 kHz, and 12 kHz - the key frequencies for proper voicing of any Bass instrument. At center detent positions these Controls offer a perfectly flat response and have absolutely no affect on an instrument's inherent tone. The Bass Liner runs on a single 9 Volt battery or it can be run from a 9-18 volt (tip-negative polarity) DC adaptor such as the PA-9 Power-All. Higher voltages offer a wider dynamic range and add more punch and clarity to the low-strings of extended-range instruments. True Bypass switching offers clean, uncluttered bypassed sound while the Mute switch allows for silent tuning via the secondary Direct Output jack.
