The Medieval Middle East video goes through the post-classical Middle East and the emergence of the Arab Empires. It begins with the early Bedouin culture and the rise of Islam. It follows the early Rashidun Caliphate and its expansion under the early caliphs, before delving into the Umayyad expansions into Western and Eastern Europe. We then discuss the third major caliphate, the Abbasids, and the Golden Age through the Seljuk migrations and the Crusades, ending with the Mongol invasions.
