He completed studies in Surgical Anatomy of the Face at the University of Sao Paulo, where in 2002 he began a 3-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. From 2005 to 2007, Dr. Simon completed a Fellowship for the Department of Oral and Craniomaxillofacial Surgery of the Eewfeestkliniek in Antwerp (Belgium) where he was first introduced to FFS Surgery. In 2007, he received a masters degree from the University of Gent (Belgium). Since, he has centered his specialization on Facial Feminization Surgery, treating over 800 patients together with Dr. Luis Capitán, developing new and pioneering techniques in this surgical field. He is an active member in good standing of Brazilian and Spanish professional associations, as a as well as WPATH.
