(2 Jul 2014) MCBUSTED CHAT ABOUT ONE DIRECTION AND INFLATABLE BOOBS AHEAD OF THEIR HYDE PARK GIG Ahead of the start of the Barclaycard British Summer Time gigs at London's Hyde park, supergroup McBusted revealed what audiences can expect from the music festival. The six-piece band, which comprises of pop rockers McFly - Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd - plus James Bourne and Matt Willis of Busted, are the headline act on Sunday, July 6th. ''It's just mega, this is like you know... We've been very lucky in our careers, but we've always looked at, you know, the bands playing at these shows, and go 'Wow, image that,' you know. And it's us, so it's a defining moment, " says Judd. The band members have all been busy with individual projects since they last enjoyed chart success as a band back in the mid noughties, but admit that getting back together as a supergroup is a big deal. "Well, significant life event, really, it's McBusted, it's a significant event in our life," notes Judd. However, there have been other things they've been up to. "But you know, I'd say the only thing that's slightly more significant than that is Tom having a baby, which is significant. Danny is getting married, which is significant. Dougie's having a sex change, which is significant, which is significant." The band also got a chance to support One Direction on the European leg of the band's tour. "I knew they were going to be nice, they're all nice people, but he was just such a cool, such a cool hand, " recalls Bourne. "It was so good, and, just fun, you know, when you hang out with someone, it's fun. It was fun.'' The British Summer Time festival, now in its second year, is two-week musical celebration, with other headliners including Arcade Fire, who will perform on July 3rd, Black Sabbath, who will take to the main stage on July 4th, and the newly reformed Libertines, who will play on July 5th. Neil Young is headlining the weekend after on July 12th, while Tom Jones will perform on July 13th. Barclaycard British Summer Time kicks off on Thursday 3 July and runs until Sunday 13 July.
