[4k] 'Neon Guts' by doneditboye | Geometry Dash 2.11

Rated on 3/30/23. I saw this level previewed on twitter a few months back by doneditboye, and it immediately stuck out to me for how well I feel he executed this mixing of styles. The name "Neon Guts" truly does do this level justice, as it feels like the metaphorical guts of many modern and classic bright, colourful, "neon" glow-design styles from the 2.1 era. The song helps with this too, being one that's been used fairly regularly since all the way back in 1.9 and very nostalgic for some, just like the deco. The gameplay style is a more modern one, but I like this as it serves to compliment the level's visuals and make it an engaging experience to play while also setting it apart from just directly copying those styles it aims to pay homage too. All in all a very interesting level, and I'm quite glad it was featured.
