Cake: 3 cups cake flour 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon baking powder 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda 2 cups granulated sugar 1 cup butter, softened 4 large eggs 1⁄4 cup sour cream 1 cup buttermilk 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract 1⁄4 cup granulated sugar Icing: (3 sets) 2 cups powdered sugar 1 tsp clear vanilla 6 tbsp heavy whipping cream How to: 1. Preheat oven to 350 Degrees Fahrenheit. 2. Whisk cake flour, salt, baking powder and soda. Set aside. 3. In a large bowl, beat butter until very fluffy, then add 2 cups of sugar. Beat until fluffy. 4. Beat in eggs, one at a time. 5. Mix in sour cream and vanilla extract. 6. Blend in some of the dry ingredients followed by some of the buttermilk in alternates. *Dont over beat batter* 7. Grease your donut pan with cooking spray AND flour. 8. Add cake batter to donut pan, i used a ice cream scooper so that it would be even throughout all 3 donuts. About 6 ice cream scoops 9. Bake for about 50 minutes until toothpick inserted comes out clean Icing how to: 1. mix powdered sugar, vanilla and cream. 2. Add food coloring. 3. repeat two more times, using 3 different colors. 4. drizzle on top of completely cooled cakes.
