i dont get it. ive been experiencing nothing but anger and sadness these past couple of days. a lot of people have been saying things that are just... well, i dont know if its stupid or mean, both, or how to make it not sound like im being a baby. my social media feeds have just given me nothing but straight up bigotry. there's so many disgusting and revolting things ive seen recently, and a lot of people have been conviently ignoring those things and instead using it as an excuse to make fun of, bully, and/or beat down minorities. ive recently watched cosmic princess kaguya. a movie that's a combination of vocaloid, a reimagined folktake, and the most important, yuri. outside of small, cute details in the movie about kaguya and iroha's relationship, it's been nothing but people refusing the accept that it's yuri. whether it be people who decided not to watch the movie, or have a very weird view of what romance even is. i don't know if these people are saying these things to get a reaction because "le epic troll, thanks for the money!!" or if they genuinely lack any sort of understanding of this kind of thing. sure, it's a tale as old as time. but how did it become such an incentive to get people only feeling negativity? how did we let this happen? is everything truly as hopeless as it seems from my feeds? ive been trying to tell myself that itll get better for 8 years. it's only ever gotten worse. no amount of small victories is going to fix this. there could be small victories every day for 20 years, and that won't even be 0.1% of all the horrid and atrocious things that are happening every day. i could have full rights to marry the same sex, be whatever gender i know i am by tomorrow, and it would not be enough.
