The surprising port city of Rostock, Germany!

Today I docked in Warnemünde, Germany on the NCL Dawn! While most people on the ship decided to do full day excursions to Berlin, I decided to spend a quiet relaxing morning on the ship and do an afternoon excursion around Rostock! I was initially dreading the excursion because the weather turned bad by the afternoon. In the morning we had a little bit of sunshine but by the time I headed out for my excursion it was very cold and rainy. I wasn't sure if the tour would be interesting, however, once we got underway I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it! We started off with a walking tour around the main downtown area of Rostock, we got to see the oldest University in the Baltic area, the "fountain of 'joy'" and were given some free time followed by a very fascinating visit to the Tram Depot (Museum) and finally a scenic boat ride back to the ship. I had a fantastic afternoon and then a nice evening around the ship with a gorgeous sunset from the ship!
