Vevey is a town in Switzerland in the canton of Vaud, on the north shore of Lake Leman, near Lausanne. Lake Geneva is a deep lake on the north side of the Alps, shared between Switzerland and France. It is one of the largest lakes in Western Europe and the largest on the course of the Rhône. Sunny terraces and an exceptional view of the mountains, inviting lawns and multicolored flower beds, the quays of Vevey exude a sweet perfume of dolce vita. From the Grande Place to the edge of the Jardin Roussy, the old town of Vevey is a maze of narrow streets where it is pleasant having a stroll.
