#soulstonesurvivors #hordesurvivor Over time many people asked me for some sort of guide for Unholy Cathedral. SInce this mode is completly diffrent than other ones - not only you are stuck at relatively low lvl, which makes fishing for "full build" difficult, skills you used in previous cycle are not available in later cycles. This means I wont show specific skills to go for, but instead I will give some tips that can help you beating this mode Do not untick the squares at the starting menu. I did that to disable all of my bonuses to have stats of a brand new player. Unlike in other modes, stats you unlock outside of the match matter here a lot. This means you can kinda grind your power and "outlevel" it. If you have hard time, go back to grinding in other modes, unlock entire tree, upgrade your weapon to unlock artifact power and get extra stats etc. Runes: Minor runes: Unconventional Start, Omnipotent, Reroll Mastery This gives us way more good skills to choose from, so we dont need to worry that we used some good skill early on. Major: Misfortune's Embrace, Elemental Flow, Synergetic, Multi Cast Mastery Since we are stuck are quite low lvl, its best to focus on things that are very strong early on - especially negative effects. Misfortunes Embrace gives us access to all four damaging ones, Elemental Flow boosts power of 3 of them (Doom doesnt tick) and Synergetic boosts our chance to find synergies for them which deal significantly more damage Character: If you try to beat Unholy Cathedral fairly early on w/o a lot of unlocks, I highly recommend going either with Sentinel or Assassin because of one extra dash. This will make huge diffrence for dodging attacks Skills: Do not chase for specific skills. Instead focus on certain type of skills. We want to grab skills that hit multiple times/with fast attack rate to apply more damaging aliments. Ones that can be aimed will be best, but ones that cannot can also be good (especially summons with large amount of Quantity) Passives: For defense purpose Movement Speed is best stat you can take. Once you feel fast enough you can focus on HP For damage focus mostly on passives for damaging aliments/multicast/cast frequency. Damage to skills is fine, but low priority From "big ones" between cycles I recommend taking either 2x Movement Speed x1 HP or 2x HP and 1x Movement Speed Banishes: There is not many passives that are bad in this mode that would be instant banish. I usually banish Vicious Strike and the "shield" that gives +2 damage reuduction, EXP (since cycles dont last enough for it to be good), Leviathan, Armor, Block (if you still learn how to dodge attacks, I recommend keeping those two). Slow on Hit after taking both white and green tier once. Other than that everything will be useful. Gameplay: The way you play in this mode will also play quite big role, especially your targeting. Try to priortize killing tentacles as much as possible to avoid situation where you have multiple of them alive. Here is order of "threat level" for bosses, since you will be fighting two of them at once, try to always prioritize one with bigger "threat level" (top one being priority) Fire Boss - most deadly boss in this mode imo. Unless you are very close to it, Flamethrower can be deadly Construct Boss - Simillar to Fire one, its laser can be very deadly if you are not close to it (combo of both Fire + this guy is my most hated one) Ice Boss - If you wont kill it fast enough, it will fill entire arena with ice pools that will slowly chip your hp and eventually kill you. In addition, if you dont have a lot movement speed, its "laser" that follows you can also be quite deadly Poison Boss - Simillar to Ice Boss, if you dont kill it fast enough it will fill arena with poison pools. Also watch out for its AoE slam when you get too close to it (combo of Ice boss + this guy is my 2nd most hated combo) Prophettes - Its laser is much easier to dodge, but also much deadlier if you get hit by it. Also watch out for the big explosion it does when you get close, it has huge AoE. Chaos Boss - Its "rain of meatballs" can be quite deadly if you dont have much space to maneuver. Other than that its fairly easy to deal with Knight Boss - Its only danger is Whirlwind. Just dont stay close to it when he spins. You can also use other boss to body block it so it will just spin without moving at all. Final boss: It always has same patter of attack 1st phase - Right after it spawns he will slash 4 times, then summon balls that explodes into DoT pool. After thhat he will do 2 slashes, ball, 2 slashes, ball, suck + explosion, repeat 2nd phase - Right after spawn he will attack 4 times, then spawn rotatin lasers. After that he will do 2 attacks, rotating lasers on repeat For "pizza slices" phase - try to stay near center of arena right before lasers end so its easier to find "slice" that isnt red. You can dash through boss during this phase for shorter travel, it wont body block you.
