Day 3 of my 10 days solo backpacking journey in Gokarna was filled with nature, adventure, and spirituality. After completing an early morning beach trekking in Gokarna, where we covered almost 5 beautiful beaches between 6 AM and 10 AM, I rented a bike and started my journey towards the famous Yana Caves. The bike ride itself was refreshing, passing through greenery and peaceful roads. Reaching Yana Caves felt truly special. The massive black rock formations are breathtaking, and the calm atmosphere makes you feel deeply connected to nature. Inside the caves, there is a Shiva Linga, and witnessing Lord Shiva’s presence in such a natural setting was a divine experience. Standing there, surrounded by nature and silence, brought a sense of peace and gratitude. From meeting new friends during beach trekking to exploring sacred caves, Day 3 reminded me why I chose backpacking — for experiences that touch both the heart and soul. Gokarna continues to surprise me, and this journey is far from over.
