True Crime Documentary💥The Tragic Case of Asunta Basterra : The True Story of Asunta Basterra Rosario Porto and her husband, Alfonso Basterra, were wealthy individuals. Rosario's father served as an influential French consul, and her mother was an art teacher. Rosario followed in his father's footsteps, she became a successful lawyer. In 1997, she was appointed French consul, she inherited this post from her father. Alfonso was a well known journalist. He and Rosario married in 1996 and they moved to a large apartment in an upscale area of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Rosario had lupus erythematosus, which led doctors to advise against pregnancy. They decided to adopt a child abandoned by his parents and create a loving home for him. Adoption was challenging in Spain, so when they were in their early 30s, they chose to go to China for adoption. After navigating numerous bureaucratic hurdles, they arrived at an orphanage. Rosario immediately noticed a nine months old girl, and within two weeks, they resolved all issues to officially adopt her. When returning to Spain, the child's documents named her Asunta Fong Yang. This was notable since Asunta was among the first Chinese children adopted in the area. Initially, it seemed fortunate for her to join a respected and wealthy family, but unfortunately, this joy did not last long. Asunta was a highly capable girl. She excelled academically, studied multiple languages, practiced ballet, and attended music school. It seems that Rosario and Alfonso want to give her every opportunity to develop. On July 4, 2013, Rosario and her 12 years old daughter, Asunta, went to the beach to cool off on a hot day. Asunta told a terrifying story about a man wearing a black mask and gloves who tried to strangle her the night before. The longer the girl talked, the more she lost control, and finally, her mother cried. She knew about it, she was there when it happened, but for some reason she did not contact the police. #truecrimedocumentary #truecrimenew #crime #mysterycrimes • Mystery Crimes - True Crime Documentary
