Everything plugs into the monitor itself—all your USB gear (mouse, keyboard, backup drive, microphone, whatever you've got)—even ethernet! And then ONE cable connects to your laptop, and even charges it. The screen is immersive and curved just the right amount, and the color fidelity is sensational. The problem, though, is the resolution—the number of pixels per inch (ppi): only 110 ppi. For comparison, the MacBook Pro's screen is double that in each direction: 218 ppi. If you're used to a Mac, the Dell's image is upsettingly blurry. You'll be in great shape for photo and video editing. But for reading, editing text, or using apps like Indesign and Illustrator, you'll really mourn that low resolution.
