Solar panels, in other words photovoltaic panels, are used to generate electricity using this energy from the sun. Solar panels, namely Photovoltaic panels, consist of many solar cells. These cells are made of elements called silicon, which are abundant in our world. Each cell, just like in batteries, consists of a positive and a negative layer to create an electric current. When photons from the sun are absorbed by these cells on the solar panel, the energy released causes the electrons to move freely. Electrons make their way to the bottom of the panel and exit the connecting cable. This current of electrons is called electricity. It is possible to combine solar cells according to the desired amount of energy and use them in many different areas and produce energy. Although the size of the panel used varies according to what is to be done, the principle of operation is the same. We know that photovoltaic systems produce electrical energy from solar energy. However, solar panels alone are not enough to generate electricity in this way.
