Join us for the first two days on the river Thames. We took our home on the river for the first time and wanted to capture it thoroughly. We were pleasantly surprised by how little current there was and how easy it was to find a mooring. This stretch of the Thames is non-tidal and thanks to the lock and weir system the flow is very gentle. Surely it will be different in the winter but in the summer it’s a breeze. We’ve been dreaming of going on the Thames since last year but felt a little nervous. Then we were going to join the river this March before the lockdown but our engine wasn’t very well, there were flood warnings in some stretches and we didn’t feel it was the right time. That was definitely a smart choice.
