In the land of Tosa, where the momentum for imperial reverence and expelling foreigners was rising, one swordsmith was casting the final rays of light of the age of swords and samurai. The swordsmith's name was Sano Yukihide. Born in Chikuzen, he completed his training in Edo before being welcomed into Tosa, later becoming an honored domain craftsman.
