Today, after some sightseeing, we returned for lunch—and it was an experience worth sharing! 🥘 Massive Bosnian Platter: What We Ordered We kicked off our meal with the Mostarski Sahan—a traditional Bosnian platter featuring: Stuffed peppers (punjene paprike) Stuffed courgettes (punjene tikvice/zucchini) Stuffed onions (sogan dolma) Meatballs (Ćufte) Stuffed vine leaves (Japrak) All these delights came served on a bed of buttery mashed potatoes, steaming hot and smelling incredible. The flavors were complex yet comforting, with each stuffed veggie offering something different—sour cabbage, spicy pepper, herby vine leaf, all bursting with rice and meat. Pure Balkan comfort food! 🍖 Meatballs, Gravy & More Sam dug into the juicy meatballs and sopped up every bit of the rich gravy with fresh bread. Everything was hearty, filling, and absolutely delicious—perfect for November’s chilly weather. 🥄 Double Dessert Delight Of course, we saved room for sweets! We sampled: Hurmašica: A coconut “finger” cookie, dense, crumbly, and soaked in sugary syrup—like a Balkan biscuit meets a dessert bar. Smokvara: A thick, syrupy fig dessert (fig lovers, rejoice!), reminiscent of fig newton filling but swimming in even more syrup. All this paired with local herbal tea (čaj/sepak), which balanced the meal beautifully. The desserts here are truly sweet, so get ready for a sugar rush! 🌉 Restaurant Setting & Value Konoba Taurus boasts possibly the best setting in Mostar—right by the river and next to the Crooked Bridge. The price for this epic feast? Only 36 BAM (about $21 USD / €18 EUR / £16 GBP) for a huge sharing platter, complimentary bread, two desserts, two teas, and a liter of sparkling water. Incredible value for the quality, quantity, and unbeatable views! #️⃣ Hashtags & Social #Mostar #Bosnia #BalkanFood #FoodVlog #TraditionalBosnianFood #TravelBosnia #KonobaTaurus 👍 Like, comment & subscribe for more Balkan food adventures and honest travel tips! Bosnian Cuisine - Trying Traditional Dishes in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina Travel Video: BLOGS https://cheargentinatravel.com/ https://thatbackpacker.com/ https://nomadicsamuel.com/ https://acrossalberta.com/ https://pictureperfectportfolios.com/ It is time for another food video here in Mostar. Yesterday when we went for a walk late at night we spotted this restaurant. it is right by the crooked bridge next to the river. it looked so cool and cozy. They have a fireplace and yeah we were like we need to come back. So we were in the area today just doing some sightseeing and it is right around lunch. We got hungry and we're like yeah let's eat here. So here we are. It is called Konoba Taurus. The food has arrived at the table and we have this massive platter in front of us and it looks so good. So I'm just going to read off of the menu to let you know everything we got because it has all been served together. Yeah. And wow. Okay, so the first thing we ordered was the Mostarski Sahan which includes stuffed peppers (punjene paprike), stuffed courgettes (punjene tikvice) which I believe is that zucchini is that just a different word for zucchini? And stuffed onions (sogan dolma). And then aside from that we also asked for what else did we get? The Cufte. Kofte. Cufte? Something like that um which are the meatballs and then we also got something called Japrak which are the stuffed vine leaves. And oh man this is just like steaming in front of us can you and the aromas are tantalizing. 'Be Alright' Music by NGL: / itsnglmusic
