Tutorial: Sewing difficult fabrics with the Roller Foot #51 from BERNINA

https://www.bernina.com/foot-51 | The Roller Foot #51 is great for sewing materials that don't feed well, such as leather, plastic, or heavily textured fabrics. These materials tend to stick to the flat soles of normal presser feet, thus inhibiting movement. With the roller foot, this is prevented by three rollers on the underside of the foot sole. Even heavily structured fabrics are transported without any problems because the foot does not rest on the fabric. Instead, the rollers act like wheels, easily overcoming “sticky” surfaces and even major unevenness. Tip: If the foot seems to press on the fabric while sewing, reduce the presser foot pressure! Always test stitch length and needle type on a scrap piece of fabric before starting the project. This foot is a must for leather fans!
