Tori speaks with registered dietician and co-founder of the Holistic Cannabis Academy, Donna Shields. Donna's integrative programs are created to fill the education gap for health professionals and curious consumers. Listen to this conversation to hear how cannabis played a holistic role in Donna's cancer diagnosis and her mission to increase cannabis competency for all. Donna Shields is co-founder of the Holistic Cannabis Academy, the only online training program for health practitioners and cannabis industry professionals with an integrative health focus. She is also a consultant to medical and wellness cannabis and hemp companies. Donna is a registered dietitian nutritionist who began her career in the US Army and worked on staff and as a consultant and spokesperson to numerous large food brands. She headed up global health communications for The Coca-Cola Company, Atlanta and was on faculty at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America. She's been a food and nutrition writer for various online and print publications and has authored her own cookbooks. Most recently, she has been a contributor to The Cannabis Kitchen Cookbook. In addition, Donna is a cannabis wellness consultant. She is building wellness branding and health communications programs for dispensaries, hemp brands and works with several technology-based companies who are bringing innovative data tools to the cannabis consumer and manufacturers.
