Ossian State Forest (Part One) Fall Camping & Hiking

Fall is the Season to get out and enjoy the smells, color and crunch of the leaves under your feet. We do just that this Adventure Series in the secluded Ossian State Forest which is 1,303 acres of gravel roads, rolling hills and one particular pond with water-side campsites that make a unique setting like no others that I have saw in my travels. In Part One of this weeks two part video, we start off in a campsite that isn't exactly the cozy feel I would normally chose but make the best of it and end up with a really nice fire pit and place to have our evening fire. Temperatures dipped below freezing and luckily the Big Buddy heater was working well, took the edge off before bed and in the morning to provide a warm start to the day. Hot cup of coffee and an overstuffed down vest make the cold bearable, surprisingly the sun immediately warms things up and leads to a new day with the sights and smells of the Fall time woods.
