You might think at first glance that these two 16-bit Arcade compilation titles have hardly any differences between them, but once compared side by side the differences are quite noticeable. Released in late 1996 when both the SNES and Genesis were winding down, it is quite impressive to see these games ported to hardware that was only less than 10 years younger than the original arcade titles themselves. Both ports are quite enjoyable and can be found for cheap on the current market. Jeff Vavasour (Main Programmer of the SNES port) has an interesting writeup of the development of these 16-bit versions on his webpage, mainly stating that these are recreations based off of the original arcade source code: http://www.vavasour.ca/jeff/games.htm... TECHNICAL INFORMATION: Both consoles are hooked up via Levelhike RGB to HDMI cables. The SNES model is a 1-chip version of the system, and the Genesis is a Model 2 VA1.8 with audio routed through the RCA outputs of a model 2 Sega CD.
