This is the second in a series of videos in which I will repair a Sellita wristwatch from the 1950s. It has an A. Schild 1187 movement, which was a common movement in the 50s and 60s. Today, Sellita is known as a manufacturer of movements that a lot of Swiss watch companies use; but they have long been an OEM manufacturer of watches for smaller companies. This watch was made decades before Sellita began making their own movements. I made this video after cleaning the watch's parts. I will reassemble and relubricate the movement. 00:00 Assembling the Mainspring Barrel 05:38 Mainspring Barrel Installation 07:00 Lubricating the Barrel Bridge 07:24 Inserting the Stem Retaining Screw 08:02 Barrel Bridge Installation 08:52 Center Wheel Installation 09:36 Cannon Pinion Installation 10:52 Ratchet Wheel Installation 11:50 Third Wheel, Fourth Wheel, and Escape Wheel Stacking Order 13:01 Lower Cap Jewels Lubrication and Installation 14:56 Incabloc Jewels Lubrication and Installation 20:49 Third Wheel and Fourth Wheel Installation 22:56 Escape Wheel Lubrication and Installation 24:48 Train Bridge Installation 24:58 Testing the Train Wheels 25:31 Lubricating the Train Bridge Jewels 26:00 Upper Escape Cap Jewel Lubrication and Installation 26:31 Click Spring and Click Installation 28:07 Crown Wheel Installation 29:25 Pallet Fork and Pallet Bridge Installation 30:49 Balance Wheel Installation 32:28 Preliminary Timegrapher Readings 33:35 Assembling the Keyless Works and Motion Works 41:08 Demonstrating the Functions of the Keyless works and Motion Works 41:54 Explaining the Hands 42:18 The Dial Washer 42:37 What's in the Next Video Visit my website: https://watchmakerchris.com
