THIS WILL BE TESTED AT THE TIME OF INTERVIEW. SUB-INSPECTOR OF SCHOOLS IN THE WEST BENGAL SUBORDINATE EDUCATIONAL SERVICE UNDER THE SCHOOL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT, GOVT. OF WEST BENGAL – NO. OF VACANCIES : THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY EIGHT [UNRESERVED – ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY SIX, SEVENTY-FOUR RESERVED FOR S.C., TWENTY FOR S.T., THIRTY-FOUR FOR O.B.C. CATEGORY ‘A’, TWENTY-FOUR FOR O.B.C. CATEGORY ‘B’ CANDIDATES AND TEN FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES (BLINDNESS OR LOW VISION – THREE, HEARING IMPAIRED – THREE & LOCOMOTOR DISABILITY OR CEREBRAL PALSY – FOUR)] PAY: Rs.9, 000/- – Rs.40, 500/- (P.B. – 4) plus Grade Pay Rs. 4, 700/-. QUALIFICATIONS: Essential: (i) A second class Honours or a second class Master’s degree of a recognized University or its equivalent; (ii) A Bachelor degree in Teaching or Education from a recognized University or its equivalent; (iii) Good knowledge in Bengali/Nepali – spoken and written & (iv) Ability to undertake extensive tour on official duty. Desirable: (i) Teaching experience in Schools & (ii) Ability to organize extra-curricular activities. AGE: Not more than 36 years on 01.01.2018. Fee: Rs. 160/- (Rupees one hundred sixty) only. In addition to that, the candidate will be charged as follows: (i) For online payment through debit/credit cards: Convenience fee 1% of the examination fee subject to a minimum of Rs. 5/- (Rupees Five) only plus 18% G.S.T. on convenience fee. (ii) For online payment through net banking: Convenience fee of Rs. 5/- (Rupees Five) only plus 18% G.S.T. on convenience fee. (iii) For offline payment through bank counter: Service Charge of Rs. 20/- (Rupees Twenty) only. S.C./S.T. candidates of West Bengal and Persons with disabilities (P.W.D.) having physical disability of 40% and above are not required to pay any fee. BC candidates of West Bengal are, however, required to pay usual fee as aforesaid. NO EXEMPTION OF FEE IS AVAILABLE TO S.C./S.T. CANDIDATES OF OTHER STATES AND B.C. CANDIDATES. No claim for refund of the fee will be entertained nor will it be held in reserve for any other examination. I N F O R M A T I O N 1. SUBMISSION OF MORE THAN ONE APPLICATION FOR ONE PARTICULAR POST IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. THE CANDIDATURE OF A CANDIDATE WHO SUBMITS MORE THAN ONE APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION TO THE SELECTION PROCEDURE, WILL BE CANCELLED EVEN IF HE/SHE IS ADMITTED TO THE SAME. 2. The qualifications prescribed in the advertisement are as per the notified recruitment rules issued by Government. 3. All the degrees/diplomas/certificates mentioned in the advertisement must have been obtained from recognized Universities/Institutions. 4. The prescribed ‘essential qualifications’ are the minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle applicants to be called in for the interview. Where the number of applications received in response to the advertisement is large and it is not convenient or possible for the Commission to interview all the applicants the Commission may restrict the number of candidates for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of either higher qualifications in the relevant subjects/higher standard of marks/grade obtained in the essential qualifications or experience in relevant field higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement or on the basis of a Screening Test/Written Test.
