Maurice went on to speak about being drafted by Denver despite having a "horrible" combine and feeling like he was doing them a favor by being on the team. He added that he was still partying around his games and not accepting any help the team was trying to offer him. After Denver exhausted their efforts to no avail, they decided to cut Maurice without giving him any money from his contract.  During the conversation, Maurice spoke about hiring former Death Row lawyer David Kenner to represent him, and he spoke about Kenner telling him stories about 2Pac.
