LEARNING TRACKS: https://www.juliegaulketracks.com/sto... Baba Yetu is a beautiful piece written by Christopher Tin. Originally for the video game Civilization IV in 2005, it was later released as the opening of Tin's song cycle "Calling All Dawns" in 2009. The piece was set for full symphonic orchestra plus choir. Tin later set the piece for SATB a cappella plus optional percussion. The version we are singing here is loosely based on Tin's arrangement with modifications that we made to include more of the orchestral harmonies. The text is "The Our Father" set in the beautiful African language of Swahili. Please enjoy!
