This video presents the demonstration of my Final Year Project (PSM) titled “Solar-Powered Smart Chili Farming System with IoT-Based Monitoring.” The project focuses on developing an automated and energy-efficient smart agriculture system that integrates IoT sensors, real-time monitoring, and actuator control to support sustainable chili farming. The system is powered by a solar energy source and utilizes an ESP32 microcontroller to collect soil and environmental data, including soil moisture, temperature, pH, electrical conductivity (EC), and NPK nutrient levels through an RS485 soil sensor. The collected data are displayed locally on an OLED screen, transmitted to the Blynk IoT platform for remote monitoring, and stored in a local web server database for analysis and visualization. Based on predefined threshold values, the system automatically controls: Water pump for irrigation based on soil moisture levels Cooling fan for temperature regulation A hysteresis control approach is implemented to prevent frequent actuator switching, ensuring stable operation and efficient energy usage. Visual indicators using a NeoPixel LED are also included to represent system status. This project aims to promote efficient water usage, renewable energy integration, and smart decision-making in agriculture, aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 2: Zero Hunger and SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy). Key Features: 1. Solar-powered IoT farming system 2. Automated irrigation and temperature control 3. Real-time monitoring 4. RS485 multi-parameter soil sensor (Moisture, pH, EC, NPK). 5. OLED local display and database logging 6.
