Last week    • Sewing Cabinet with Machine-Lift Part...   we completed the cabinet part of the Sewing Machine Cabinet, and this week we finish the project by completing the top, the lifting mechanism, the last door, and the fold down tops I was advertising to a friend that I was looking for some interesting woodworking projects, and she suggested that she would like a sewing cabinet with mechanical lift. Starting with pictures in magazines and google, working together we sketched out what she wanted. Our design was a blend of several ideas, with measurements tailored to her sewing room and other furniture. Here are some of the design features: 1. Three position machine lift. 2. Sitting on eight wheels the heavy cabinet is easily moved 3. Removable cabinet top 4. Five 100 percent pullout drawers 5. Oak drawer fronts, oak frame, and oak trim on 3/4 inch plywood 6. Two fold down table top extensions.
